Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danilo Caparas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gold Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caparas throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ryan.
Ryan checks a low kick from Caparas.
Ryan walks forward, straight into a front kick from Caparas.
Caparas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Caparas connects with a leg kick. Ryan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ryan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Caparas counters with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Caparas throws a sloppy head kick and Ryan moves out of range easily.
Ryan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Caparas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ryan looks to land a left hand but Caparas moved out of range nicely.
Caparas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ryan fails with the takedown.
Danilo Caparas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gold Ryan.
Ryan looks gassed!
Caparas looks for the body kick but Ryan saw that one coming.
Ryan shoots for a takedown but Caparas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ryan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Caparas bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A right-left combo lands from Caparas.
Ryan ducks right into an uppercut from Caparas.

Caparas throws a nice looking combination but Ryan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Caparas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ryan.
A chopping leg kick lands by Caparas.
Ryan on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Caparas. Caparas obviously looking to wear him down.
Caparas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ryan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Caparas connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ryan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Caparas lands a nice looking body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Caparas.

Caparas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ryan's calf.
Caparas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryan manages to avoid it.
Ryan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Caparas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ryan has time to react.
Caparas buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Caparas lands a head kick. Ryan smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Caparas lands a slapping body shot.
Caparas is looking to wear down Ryan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Caparas looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Caparas connects with a combination that backs up Ryan into the cage. Caparas lands a flurry of punches that gets past Ryan's guard. Ryan is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Caparas bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
