Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Crump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leonard Crump! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hector Lombard! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crump fails to land with a series of punches.
A punch lands to the side of Lombard 's head but he takes it in his stride. Crump throws a series of punches but Lombard moves out of range. Crump swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lombard counters with a takedown into side control. Lombard lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Crump takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lombard throws an elbow but Crump slips to the side and avoids it well. Lombard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lombard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Crump on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Crump tries to get out of the position. Lombard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Crump, who protects the arm well. Crump takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Crump is trying to buck Lombard off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lombard has knee on belly and moves into mount. Crump squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Lombard lands a big shot there that rocks Crump but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lombard looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Lombard trying to control but Crump is having none of it.

Lombard scoring with strikes but Crump is staying in there. Crump is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Crump is breathing heavily. Lombard working for a submission but Crump is keeping him at bay. Crump's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Lombard raining down hammerfists from mount. Crump knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lombard on the ground. Crump trying desperately to get to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Crump really wants to buck Lombard off and get back to his feet. Lombard looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Crump is trying to stand up. Lombard with good strikes from the mount here! Lombard lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crump is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Lombard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Crump's face.
Lombard won't let Crump get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Lombard lands with some strikes. Lombard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Crump to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Crump shrugs it off. Crump tries to buck Lombard off but he can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lombard looking for a guillotine from mount but Crump is having none of it. Crump wants to try and get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lombard scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Crump?
Lombard landing punches. Crump tries to buck Lombard off but he can't manage it. Lombard with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Lombard throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Crump really wants to buck Lombard off and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crump lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Leonard Crump is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A left and a right from Crump both land. Nice combination. Lombard avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Crump lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lombard circles away quickly and effectively. Lombard shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Crump defends it nicely. Lombard fails to land the takedown. Leonard Crump has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hector Lombard. Crump misses with a few strikes there.

Crump will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lombard throws a series of punches but Crump avoids them all with ease. Lombard takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Horrible takedown by Lombard or perhaps it was just good defense by Crump which made him look bad.

Crump throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A right-left combo lands from Crump. A looping hook to the body misses from Crump. Lombard does a little dance to reset his feet. Crump rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lombard moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Crump misses with the combination.

Lombard prevents Crump from getting back to his feet. Lombard is standing up over Crump. Crump looks to escape but Lombard dives into side control.

Lombard is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Crump is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lombard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Crump keeps working. Crump bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Crump scores with a jab to the jaw. Crump throws a series of punches but Lombard moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crump lands a nice hook to Lombard's body. Lombard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Crump scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Crump misses with a double jab.
Crump works the jab nicely. Crump missing with a left hand there. Lombard was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Crump throws a right hand that Lombard ducks under and follows up with a left that Lombard also avoids with ease. Lombard shoots in but Crump avoids the takedown attempt easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crump misses with a jab, cross combination.
