Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Irvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Starr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Irvin comes to the cage accompanied by Before I Forget by Slipknot. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Patrick Irvin ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Starr! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irvin throws a big shot that misses. Starr walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Starr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Irvin is fending him off so far but Starr persists. Nope, Irvin circles away and we're back to standing. Starr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Irvin pinned against the cage. Irvin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Starr closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Starr is looking for a kimura here.
Starr is trying to work for a kimura but Irvin is defending well.
Starr is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starr looking for a submission but Irvin manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Irvin wants to get back to his feet. Irvin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Starr on the ground. Starr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Irvin is just riding it out for now. Starr eventually gives up the hold. Starr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Starr has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Irvin defend it? Starr steps over the head and cranks it - Irvin is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Starr!
