Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Roll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Happy Gilmore!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roll closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gilmore to the mat! Gilmore manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roll wants to control from the top but Gilmore keeps moving.

Gilmore had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Roll is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gilmore Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Roll's back instead.

I really don't envy Roll right now.

Roll defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Roll wants to control his opponent's hands but Gilmore gets his hands free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roll is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Roll prevents Gilmore from getting a body triangle.
Well, with Gilmore on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Roll is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

That's one minute gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Roll's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Gilmore is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Roll won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Gilmore off his unconscious opponent!
