Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connor OMalley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). OMalley comes to the ring accompanied by Drunken Lullabies. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor OMalley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rashad Evans! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Evans is trying to control. OMalley wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Evans landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Evans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with OMalley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Evans wants to stand but OMalley has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. OMalley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Evans content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. OMalley trying to control but Evans postures up.
OMalley regains full guard. Nicely done. OMalley has his foot on Evans's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Evans works his way back into a safe position though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Evans wants to control from the top but OMalley keeps moving. Evans throws a big right hand that misses. OMalley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evans gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. OMalley looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. OMalley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Evans is aware though and is defending well. Evans drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Evans jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Evans tries to stand but OMalley is controlling from the bottom. OMalley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evans gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Evans trying to control the position from guard on top but OMalley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. OMalley is looking to sinch up a triangle. Evans throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to OMalley's body to avoid the submission. OMalley has instead reached around Evans's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! OMalley arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Connor OMalley! An out of breath Connor OMalley thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
