Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bret Sane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Slone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sane kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Domination. Paul Slone will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bret Sane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Slone! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slone instigates a clinch. Slone is pressed up against the cage. Sane has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Slone down to the mat. Slone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Sane moves into the clinch. Sane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sane fails with a takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Slone. No joy for Sane on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bret Sane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Slone tries a head kick but it misses.
Sane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Slone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Slone is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slone is refusing to be controlled, as Sane sits in half guard. Sane blocks the strikes from Slone.
Slone slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slone keeping moving, preventing Sane from controlling successfully. Sane looking to pass the guard. Slone keeping moving, preventing Sane from controlling successfully. Sane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Bret Sane just wasn't active enough. Sane fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Slone avoids it really well and circles away. Slone displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Slone throws a one two combo.
Slone misses with a head kick.
Sane shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Slone counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Sane is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Slone is controlling him. Slone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sane swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sane working a defensive guard here.
Sane wants to stand and escape but Slone is having none of it. Sane is breathing heavily. Slone tries to free his leg and advance position but Sane is retaining full guard. Sane throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Sane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Slone passes into half guard. Sane wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Slone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sane is just riding it out for now. Slone eventually gives up the hold. Sane tries to roll over but Slone keeps him under control. Slone is working for a kimura but Sane is defending it quite comfortably.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sane is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Slone dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Slone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sane as he jumps to the side. A head kick misses from Slone. Sane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Slone as he jumps to the side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sane. Slone closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sane did well to prevent Slone getting side control. Slone is trying to control the action in half guard but Sane is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sane is trying to maintain the position but Slone is very close to passing his half guard. Slone content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slone decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Slone is breathing heavily. Sane tries to clinch up and Slone counters with a single leg into guard. Sane didn't expect that. Paul Slone has got the better of the ground game so far. Sane wants to stand and escape but Slone is having none of it. Sane is looking to sweep but instead, Slone has passed into half guard.
Sane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sane manages to get to full guard.
Slone won't allow Sane to sweep him here. Slone works over Sane with some ground and pound from guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Slone looking to pass the guard. Slone showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Sane is trying to keep Slone in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Slone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sane swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slone is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bret Sane wasn't doing enough on the ground. Sane tries for a takedown but Slone circles away easily and Slone moves into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bret Sane. That's going to take a lot out of him. Slone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Slone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sane pinned against the cage. Sane gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The fight moves into the clinch position. Sane jumps guard but Slone stands there with Sane around his waist. Sane gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sane wants a takedown but no success here.
Slone tightens his grip and picks Sane up, before dumping him to the ground. Sane manages to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Slone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Slone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sane slaps away a takedown attempt from Slone, before circling back to the center of the mat. Slone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Slone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Slone tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Sane tries to hold on but Slone postures up. Slone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sane keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sane is working hard here to advance position. Sane tries to improve his position but instead Slone has taken his back! Slone biding his time, looking for the opening.
Sane wants to control his opponent's hands but Slone gets his hands free. Slone connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Sane to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slone biding his time, controlling Sane. Slone gets his hands free as Sane looks to control. Slone is working the ground and pound. Can Sane escape? Sane tries to roll but Slone sticks to his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sane is trying to get back to his feet but Slone has full control of the position and if anything, Sane has just worked his way into a worse spot. Slone lands an elbow to the side of the head. Slone lands strikes to the head. Slone looking for the choke from the back. Slone is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sane knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sane for a finish. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sane tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slone is persistently looking for the submission but Sane is defending it well.
Sane can't escape the position.
Slone looking for the RNC. I really don't envy Sane right now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sane is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Slone gets his way!
Bret Sane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Paul Slone is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. I would not like to be Sane right now.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Slone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Slone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
