MacLain comes to the cage accompanied by Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Shane MacLain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silvic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from MacLain.
MacLain doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Silvic counters with a nice kick to the body.
MacLain misses with a takedown attempt
and Silvic counters with a leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane MacLain. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Silvic, right into the meat.
Silvic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from MacLain.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee is keeping an eye on Silvic - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Silvic lands a hook that snaps the head of MacLain backwards.
Silvic landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Silvic.
Silvic has MacLain pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. MacLain is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Silvic - that's hurt MacLain badly! Oh, another knee lands and MacLain is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but MacLain doesn't seem to be complaining.
