PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brik Holtik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sher Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh has chosen Game- Motorhead as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brik Holtik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sher Singh!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Singh closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Holtik's guard.
Holtik is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Singh wants to control but Holtik is keeping busy.

Holtik looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Singh is looking to improve his position.
Singh is looking to control Holtik's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Singh avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A close round but Sher Singh will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Holtik shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Singh napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Singh is looking for a sweep.
Singh manages to work his way to half guard, despite Holtik's best efforts.
Holtik will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Holtik wants to get up but he can't break Singh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Singh stops Holtik from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Singh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Holtik is working away from the top position though.

Singh feints and as Holtik raises his hands in defense, Singh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Singh drops back looking for a leg! Holtik is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Holtik manages to kick Singh off! Singh jumps back into Holtik's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Sher Singh will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Singh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Holtik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Singh has managed to get both his arms back between Holtik's legs - danger averted.

Singh is trying to stick to Holtik's back but Holtik is turning into Singh. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Singh's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Holtik.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holtik accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sher Singh is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Holtik stands and throws Singh's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Holtik is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Singh knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brik Holtik.
I think Singh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
