Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Claymore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greg Reid acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desmond Claymore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Reid!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reid gets caught flat footed, as Claymore shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Claymore trying to control the position from guard on top but Reid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Claymore throws a strike but Reid rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Claymore manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Claymore has control of Reid's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Reid regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Claymore is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reid has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Claymore goes for an armbar but Reid turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Reid.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Claymore throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Reid was covering up waiting for the punch and Claymore finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Reid drops back looking for a leg! Claymore is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Claymore manages to kick Reid off! Reid jumps back into Claymore's guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Claymore closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Claymore lands in his opponent's guard.

Reid has his foot on Claymore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Claymore works his way back into a safe position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Claymore postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Reid is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Claymore, into his guard.

Claymore closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Claymore is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reid is just riding it out for now. Claymore eventually gives up the hold.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reid is breathing heavily.
Reid is refusing to be controlled, as Claymore sits in half guard.

Claymore looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Claymore is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reid doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Claymore.

Desmond Claymore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Claymore avoids the attempt from Reid to control.

Claymore goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Reid turns into him and now he's in Claymore's guard.

Claymore is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reid is aware though and is defending well.

Reid is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Claymore is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Claymore working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Reid shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Claymore but Claymore pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Reid misses with a two punch combination.

Reid gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Claymore is pushing down on Reid's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reid is fighting to maintain full guard but Claymore has managed to sneak the leg through.

Claymore is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Claymore is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Claymore looks to land a strike but Reid avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Claymore pushes down on Reid's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Claymore has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Reid defend it? Claymore steps over the head and cranks it - Reid is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Claymore!
