Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Auron Almasy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Pontes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almasy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ram Jam - Black Betty. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almasy jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Almasy leaves Pontes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pontes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Almasy tries to avoid it but Pontes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Almasy to the ground. Almasy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pontes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pontes throws an elbow that misses. Almasy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pontes's guard. Nice move by Almasy!
Pontes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pontes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Almasy stacks Pontes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Almasy!
