Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Malinkovikh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malinkovikh comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Down with the sickness. Aleks Malinkovikh looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aleks Malinkovikh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ted Williams! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Malinkovikh's guard. Malinkovikh looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Williams sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Let's hope that Williams has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Malinkovikh swivels though and keeps the full guard. Williams gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Malinkovikh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Williams shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Williams was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Williams should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams unloads with some shots from mount but Malinkovikh bucks and avoids them well.
Williams tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ted Williams just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Malinkovikh swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nice takedown defense from Malinkovikh. No joy for Williams on that attempt. Malinkovikh misses with the combination.
Williams throws a solid leg kick but Malinkovikh takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Williams. Williams tries for a takedown but Malinkovikh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Williams tries to clinch up. Williams looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Williams sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Malinkovikh works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Williams showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Malinkovikh wants to stand but Williams is controlling the position. Williams passes Malinkovikh's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Williams takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Malinkovikh throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Williams content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. I looks like Williams might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Williams throwing shots but Malinkovikh is blocking nicely. Williams is taking a breather. Malinkovikh says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ted Williams just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ted Williams dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Williams misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Williams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Malinkovikh looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. A lull in the action here as Williams stalls from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams throws an elbow but Malinkovikh slips to the side and avoids it well. Williams decides to stand back up. Williams is looking to clinch. Malinkovikh throws a series of punches but Williams avoids them all with ease. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Malinkovikh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Williams wants to clinch up but Malinkovikh keeps it at a distance. Malinkovikh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malinkovikh throws a head kick that half lands.
Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Williams throws a lazy head kick and Malinkovikh counters with a three punch combo that has Williams backing up. Williams nods at Malinkovikh to acknowledge the strikes. The fight stays on the outside here - Williams looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Williams tries to clinch there but Malinkovikh circles away.
Ted Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Williams feints and as Malinkovikh raises his hands in defense, Williams changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ted Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. Williams stands and steps away. Malinkovikh gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Malinkovikh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Williams. Malinkovikh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Williams wants to clinch but Malinkovikh slips to the side and Malinkovikh counters with a series of strikes. Williams will be more careful next time no doubt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Williams misses with a body kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Malinkovikh counters with a left and a right that stings Williams. Aleks Malinkovikh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Williams. Malinkovikh gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Malinkovikh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Williams trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Williams postures up.
Williams pushes down on Malinkovikh's leg and manages to get into half guard. Williams seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Malinkovikh is in trouble now - Williams has advanced to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams punching from mount but Malinkovikh doing a good job of avoiding damage. Williams controlling from mount. Malinkovikh has left one of his arms exposed and Williams doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Malinkovikh screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
