Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Sou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Papalola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Papalola is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Emmure - I Thought You Met Telly And Turned Me Into Casper . We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Papalola! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sou shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sou was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. You get the feeling that Papalola really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Papalola really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sou. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sou tries to control but Papalola wriggling away. Papalola wants to try and get back to his feet. Sou tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. That's one minute gone in the round. Sou throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Sou really is a fat lump. Sou stands up from mount. Strange move. Papalola looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sou takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Papalola looks gassed! Sou scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sou perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Papalola keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
We're going to have a standup here because Tony Sou wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sou wants to clinch. Papalola looks to land a combination but Sou avoids it well. Sou shoots in but Papalola avoids the takedown attempt easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sou walks into a left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sou tries to clinch but Papalola is having none of it. Sou shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Papalola sprawls well. Papalola wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sou gets slowly back to his feet. Papalola throws a combination. Sou tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Tony Sou has been cut. Papalola avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sou throws a leg kick but Papalola sees it coming and moves out of range. Nice shot lands for Papalola. No luck for Sou with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Sou. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sou tries to clinch but Papalola moves out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! Papalola rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sou moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sou gets a takedown into half guard. Papalola tries to kick Sou off but Sou keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Sou is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Papalola misses with a straight left. Sou doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sou takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Papalola comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Tony Sou is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Papalola looks to land a combination but Sou avoids it well. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sou. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Sou. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sou shoots in but Papalola avoids the takedown attempt easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Papalola gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Papalola lands a really nice looking cross but Sou seems unphased.
Papalola lands a left and a right that send Sou crashing to the mat, dazed. Papalola thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Sou is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Papalola feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Sou crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
