PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lisser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoy Nelson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lisser fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nelson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lisser thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lisser slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nelson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nelson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lisser will feel that in the morning.
Lisser is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lisser takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Nelson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lisser's calf.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lisser pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Lisser has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nelson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Nelson! Lisser is out on his feet! Nelson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Lisser is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Lisser is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
