0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rampus Diaz! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Photirat feints and as Diaz raises his hands in defense, Photirat changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Diaz has his hands on Photirat's head, controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Photirat might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Photirat trying to stand up but can't free himself from Diaz's guard. Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Diaz is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Rampus Diaz has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Photirat drops Diaz with a beautiful combination! Diaz stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Photirat is looking for the KO!
Diaz is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Photirat scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Diaz is still in real trouble! Can Photirat finish him? What's Diaz going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Diaz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Photirat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Photirat throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Diaz's head. Photirat moves to clinch but Diaz breaks away and Diaz counters with a single leg into guard. Photirat didn't expect that. Diaz controls the pace of the fight for a moment. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Yodthanong Photirat. Photirat swinging wildly here.

Photirat shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Photirat was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Diaz just holding on.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rampus Diaz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Diaz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Photirat tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Diaz is in Photirat's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Photirat wants to get back to his feet but Diaz passes into half guard.
Diaz is taking a breather. Photirat says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Yodthanong Photirat just wasn't active enough. Diaz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Photirat to the ground. Diaz is now in Photirat's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Diaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Diaz is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rampus Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Photirat throws a right hand that Diaz ducks under and follows up with a left that Diaz also avoids with ease. Diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Diaz showed some decent athleticism there. Diaz stalling.

Yodthanong Photirat is winning the standup battle so far. Diaz dodges the punch combination from Photirat.
Diaz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Photirat was covering up waiting for the punch and Diaz finishes the takedown easily into guard. Photirat being controlled here, momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
