0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chester Fickle! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kobajashi gets a clinch. Fickle manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fickle can do anything to dispel that myth. Fickle is controlling Kobajashi's posture. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kobajashi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fickle is fending him off so far but Kobajashi persists. Nope, Fickle circles away and we're back to standing. Kobajashi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fickle sprawls well. Fickle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kobajashi gets slowly back to his feet. Fickle scores with a hook to the body. Kobajashi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Kenta Kobajashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kobajashi is breathing heavily. Fickle looking to score a takedown here. Fickle working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kobajashi's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kobajashi keeping full guard, as Fickle tries to pass. Kobajashi keeping moving, preventing Fickle from controlling successfully. Fickle stays in close to Kobajashi's body and controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kobajashi keeping moving, preventing Fickle from controlling successfully. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Chester Fickle wasn't active enough on the ground. Kobajashi tries to clinch but Fickle is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fickle scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fickle trying to control from half guard but Kobajashi is working away. Fickle is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Fickle is trying to control. Fickle is landing with some decent strikes but Kobajashi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Kenta Kobajashi has been cut. Fickle is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Kobajashi goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Fickle!
