The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Scarlatti counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Scarlatti moves into the clinch.
Scarlatti has hold of one of Gracie's legs. Gracie is fighting the takedown attempt but Scarlatti gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Scarlatti throws a big right hand that misses.
Scarlatti content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Gracie has locked up a guillotine! Gracie's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Scarlatti is holding on here and Gracie must be using up a lot of energy. Scarlatti has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Gracie gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
