Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil DeBlunt!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeBlunt misses the shot to the body.
Civita on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Assis Civita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeBlunt leaves Civita with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Civita shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts DeBlunt as he jumps to the side.

Civita darts in and clinches DeBlunt up against the cage.

Civita has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by DeBlunt after a bit of a struggle.

Civita goes for an armbar but he's not got it… DeBlunt turns into him and now he's in Civita's guard.

DeBlunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Civita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Phil DeBlunt wasn't active enough on the ground.

and DeBlunt counters with a crisp one two that drops Civita! DeBlunt thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Civita to his feet! Civita is in big trouble!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
DeBlunt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Civita.

Civita shoots in looking for a takedown but DeBlunt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Civita's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

DeBlunt scores with a nice right hand.
DeBlunt connects with a body shot that sends Civita's belly button to the back.
Civita circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by DeBlunt. Civita falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for DeBlunt!
