5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artur Nowak! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Othella throws a leg kick that misses. Othella fails to land the takedown. Nowak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Othella. Othella throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Othella shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nowak as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xamos Othella. That's going to take a lot out of him. Othella looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nowak! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Othella is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Nowak is forced to tap! Great finish!
