Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jex Midnight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jie Liu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liu misses the shot to the body.
Midnight avoids a kick to the body.
Liu drops his hands momentarily and Midnight takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Liu lands with a kick to the ribs.
Jex Midnight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Midnight moves away.

Liu lands a right hook to the body.

Liu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Midnight fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Liu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Liu lands a leg kick that knocks Midnight off balance momentarily.
Liu swings for the body but Midnight moves out of range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Liu managing to control the position.
Midnight pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Liu is keeping the position for now.
Midnight is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Liu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Midnight's guard.
Midnight escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Liu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Midnight has his foot on Liu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Liu works his way back into a safe position though.

Midnight working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Liu has passed into half guard!

Liu passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Liu cracks Midnight with a big right hand but Midnight just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Liu creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Midnight manages to work his way to half guard, despite Liu's best efforts.
Liu lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Midnight wants to get back to full guard.
Liu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Midnight makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Midnight.
Liu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Midnight's head.
Liu is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Liu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Liu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Midnight is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Liu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Midnight manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Liu manages to get himself to full guard.
Liu looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Midnight puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Midnight seems to be working for a kimura but Liu defends the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jie Liu dominated that round.

Liu connects with a high kick.
It looks like Jex Midnight has been cut.
Liu staying out of range there.
Liu throws a front kick that sends Midnight stumbling back into the cage.
Midnight misses with a straight left.
Midnight is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Liu.
Midnight checks a leg kick nicely.
Midnight tries to move into range but Liu moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Liu.
Midnight thows a body shot but no joy.
Liu avoids the body shot from Midnight.

Liu misses with a low kick.

Midnight gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Liu throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jie Liu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Liu lets loose with a powerful body kick. Midnight will feel that in the morning.
Liu moves away from the strike by Midnight.
Liu lands with a thumping leg kick.
Midnight avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Midnight throws a hook but Liu blocks it.
Liu lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Midnight is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Midnight on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Oh Midnight is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Midnight throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Midnight looks to throw the jab but Liu is out of range.
Midnight seems to have got his legs back now.
Liu avoids the body shot from Midnight.
Jie Liu seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Midnight steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Liu. That one must have hurt.

Midnight takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Liu moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Midnight swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Midnight looks to score with a jab to the body but Liu is just out of range.
Midnight misses with a lunging right hand
and Liu counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Liu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nice shot lands for Liu.
The fighters circle, before Liu throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Midnight's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Liu lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Jie Liu!
