The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Stephenson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stephenson moves out of range of the strikes.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sanford. That's going to slow Stephenson down.
Stephenson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanford stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sanford.
Stephenson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sanford counters with a nice body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sanford fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sanford circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sanford lands a head kick!
Stephenson tries to clinch but Sanford is having none of it.
Stephenson takes one to the side of the head.
Sanford feints and then cracks Stephenson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stephenson down.
Stephenson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stephenson looks gassed!
A slapping leg kick lands for Sanford.
Sanford lands a high kick!

It looks like Carlos Stephenson has been cut.
Sanford fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stephenson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sanford scores with a jab to the head.

Sanford cracks Stephenson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sanford has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Stephenson to stand back up!

Stephenson is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sanford flashes Stephenson a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Stephenson's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Stephenson crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Sanford punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
