Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Stuber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chong Man Hoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoi has chosen Hunk of Burning Love by Elvis Presley as his entrance music. Chong Man Hoi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Stuber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chong Man Hoi!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hoi showed some decent athleticism there.
Stuber blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hoi.
Stuber controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Hoi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoi punishing his opponent with strikes.

Hoi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Stuber has worked his arm free - good work by Stuber!
Stuber is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Hoi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Stuber rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hoi's guard! Nice work there by Stuber!

Hoi is looking for a sweep. Stuber is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hoi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Stuber keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Hoi wants to get back to full guard but Stuber has mounted him!
Hoi is looking to improve his position but Stuber isn't that keen on the idea.
Stuber controlling his opponent.
Stuber wants to take Hoi's back but he can't do it this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chong Man Hoi will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Hoi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hoi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stuber has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hoi but great work by Stuber.
The referee asks Stuber politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Stuber prefers to stall for the moment though.

Stuber seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hoi for as long as he can get away with.
Hoi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Hoi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stuber gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hoi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stuber doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stuber manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hoi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hoi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stuber!

Hoi looking for a guillotine from mount but Stuber is having none of it.

Hoi is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Stuber has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Stuber!

Hoi keeping moving, preventing Stuber from controlling successfully.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hoi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Stuber passes into side control.
Chong Man Hoi has got the better of the ground game so far.

Stuber decides to stand back up.

Stuber bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hoi is letting Stuber control him for a moment.
Hoi tries to bench press Stuber off him but Stuber keeps the position.
Hoi is trying to work for a sweep but Stuber has mounted him!
Stuber looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Chong Man Hoi will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hoi tries to improve his position but instead Stuber has taken his back!
Hoi breaks Stuber's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Hoi wants to pass the guard but Stuber is keeping the position.

Hoi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hoi wants to pass the guard but Stuber is keeping the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hoi misses with a takedown

and Stuber counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hoi won't be happy with that.
Stuber gets to mount! Hoi was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Hoi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hoi is trying to reverse the position but instead Stuber has taken his back - oops!
Stuber is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Stuber has the hooks in. Hoi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stuber doesn't have the hooks in and Hoi manages to turn into his guard.
Stuber pulls Hoi in close to prevent any damage.
Hoi tries to free his leg and advance position but Stuber is retaining full guard.
Stuber pulls Hoi in to control the position.
Hoi passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Hoi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Stuber is looking to reverse the position.
Stuber struggling a bit here.
Hoi has knee on belly momentarily but Stuber bucks him off and regains half guard.

Hoi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hoi is looking for a kimura here.

Max Stuber showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hoi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
