Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Gunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yardy Kingston! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gunn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kingston sprawls well initially but Gunn persists and gets the takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kingston is pressing down on Gunn's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gunn passes Kingston's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kingston is trying to control but can't.
Gunn is looking for a kimura here.

Kingston throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kingston is refusing to be controlled, as Gunn sits in half guard. Gunn wants to free his trapped foot but Kingston is holding on for dear life with his legs. Gunn is working for a kimura but Kingston is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kingston actively working from the bottom here. Gunn is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kingston doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gunn. Gunn trying to control the action but Kingston is working from the bottom. Gunn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kingston is just riding it out for now. Gunn eventually gives up the hold. Gunn wants to control but Kingston is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kingston gets full guard. Kingston keeping full guard, as Gunn tries to pass. Kingston is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunn stops Kingston from standing up. Kingston keeping moving, preventing Gunn from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kingston is on top in guard.
Gunn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kingston wants to pass the guard but Gunn is keeping the position. Kingston throwing strikes but missing. Kingston is looking to work some ground and pound but Gunn has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kingston is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gunn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gunn tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gunn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kingston working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gunn looking for subs off his back but Kingston has passed one foot through into half guard.
Kingston is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gunn is just riding it out for now. Kingston eventually gives up the hold. Gunn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kingston is working away from the top position though.

Gunn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kingston on the ground. Kingston is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gunn is positioning himself well to prevent Kingston advancing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Yardy Kingston will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kingston misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kingston throws a sloppy head kick and Gunn moves out of range easily. Kingston shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gunn pinned against the cage. Gunn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Gunn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Gunn looking to control but Kingston is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Gunn moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kingston has worked his arm free - good work by Kingston!

That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kingston is not content to let Gunn control the position. Kingston throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Kingston has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gunn is working away from the top position though. Gunn is trying to control the action in half guard but Kingston is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gunn is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kingston wants to improve his position but Gunn is controlling well.
Gunn is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kingston has managed to free his arm - good work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kingston tries to get to full guard but Gunn has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunn stalling away here and it's allowed Kingston to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Kingston is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gunn defends well. Gunn looking to pass the guard. Kingston controls Gunn momentarily but Gunn frees himself. Gunn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kingston looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kingston trying to keep a closed guard but Gunn is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunn wants to control from the top but Kingston keeps moving.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Yardy Kingston hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Gunn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kingston manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gunn tries to free his leg and advance position but Kingston is retaining full guard. Gunn is working hard here to advance position. Kingston has his feet on Gunn's thighs here. He's pushed Gunn off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gunn screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
