The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rush throws a half hearted mid kick.
Gibbs lands a right hook to the body.
Gibbs tries to clinch there but Rush circles away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Rush!
It looks like Lj Gibbs has been cut.
Gibbs tries to bum rush Rush with a series of wild strikes but Rush uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rush throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gibbs on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Gibbs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from Gibbs.
Rush avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rush lands a jab to Gibbs's midsection.
Gibbs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rush swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gibbs throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

A nice combination there by Gibbs.

Gibbs looks to land a combination but Rush avoids it well.
Gibbs avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gibbs scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rush circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gibbs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rush moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gibbs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Rush counters with a series of strikes. Gibbs will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rush fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gibbs on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rush misses with a combination
and Gibbs counters by moving into the clinch.

Rush pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gibbs shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A combination from Rush does no damage.
Gibbs staying out of range there.
Gibbs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rush closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Gibbs crashing to the mat! Gibbs uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
Gibbs is rocked!
Rush fails to land with a series of punches.
Oh Gibbs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gibbs feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rushs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rush throws a right hand that Gibbs ducks under and follows up with a left that Gibbs also avoids with ease.
Gibbs seems to have got his legs back now.
Rush lands a nice shot that snaps Gibbs's head back.
Gibbs avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gibbs throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rush connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gibbs is looking to clinch.
Gibbs tries to clinch there but Rush circles away.
Gibbs tries to clinch but Rush moves out of range.
Rush throws out a loose jab but Gibbs uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rush catches Gibbs napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Gibbs crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Rush raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
