Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Gaziev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Adam Gaziev enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jim Jim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adam Gaziev!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jim tries to bum rush Gaziev with a series of wild strikes but Gaziev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jim falls off balance throwing a combination

and Gaziev counters by clinching up.

Gaziev has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jim is trying to keep an underhook but Gaziev manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Gaziev thows a huge punch but Jim dodges it nicely.
Jim wants to get back to full guard.

Jim wants to sweep but no luck.

Jim pushes Gaziev off and scrambles back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Adam Gaziev wasn't active enough on the ground.

Gaziev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jim but Jim pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jim Jim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gaziev has his takedown stuffed
and Jim counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gaziev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jim manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gaziev has Jim in his guard.

Adam Gaziev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Jim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gaziev circles away quickly and effectively.

Jim controls Gaziev momentarily but Gaziev frees himself.

Gaziev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gaziev is defended easily by Jim.
Jim Jim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Gaziev.
Gaziev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jim's waist but Jim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gaziev off to one side.
Jim will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gaziev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jim defends it nicely.

and Gaziev counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Gaziev looking to sit in guard and control but Jim gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Jim cracks Gaziev with a solid left hand.

Jim is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gaziev is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Adam Gaziev.
