Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vandice Xaoz!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Matas as he connects with a hook.
Xaoz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Matas tries to clinch but Xaoz is having none of it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Xaoz.
Matas tries to clinch but Xaoz moves out of range.
Matas clinches up against the cage.
Matas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Matas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Matas lands a lovely overhand right.
Matas wants to clinch up but Xaoz keeps it at a distance.
Matas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Xaoz closes the distance and clinches.
Xaoz takes an elbow to the temple.
Xaoz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Matas fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Xaoz counters with a shoot takedown. Matas fights it but they end up in guard.

Xaoz looking to sit in guard and control but Matas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Matas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Xaoz can do anything to dispel that myth.
Matas throws a big right hand that misses.
Matas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Xaoz is keeping the position for now.
Matas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Matas stands up from Xaoz's guard - Matas perhaps looking for a knockout.
Matas clinches.
Matas breaks from the clinch.
Xaoz swats away the attempt to clinch by Matas.
Matas wants to clinch up but Xaoz keeps it at a distance.
Xaoz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Petr Matas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matas cracks Xaoz with an open hand slap.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Matas lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Matas scores a nice knee to the body.
Xaoz tries to score a body lock takedown but Matas shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Matas is looking to control Xaoz's arms but Xaoz gets an underhook and turns him. Now Matas has his back to the cage.
Matas comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Matas lands a shoulder strike.
A knee to the head by Matas.

Matas breaks the clinch.
Xaoz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Matas finds it's way round the side to connect with Xaoz's head.
Matas lands a jab to the head.
Matas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Xaoz keeps control of Matas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Matas lands a nice knee to the body.
Xaoz fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Matas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Xaoz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Matas is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Xaoz cracks Matas with a nice body shot.
Matas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Matas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Xaoz, pushing him back against the cage.
Matas wants to break free but Xaoz has control.
Matas lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Xaoz prevents Matas from breaking the clinch.
A body shot lands from Matas.
Matas landing knees to the body.

Matas breaks the clinch.
Matas lands with a right that hurts Xaoz. Xaoz looks to clinch but Matas throws a short knee that drops Xaoz. This one is all over!
