Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Knot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Strychnine Twitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gordon Knot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twitch shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Twitch was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Twitch goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Knot turns into him and now he's in Twitch's guard.
Knot is looking to work some ground and pound but Twitch has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knot accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Knot looking to sit in guard and control but Twitch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Knot is looking to stand back up but Twitch counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Knot.
Knot wants to control but Twitch is keeping busy.
Knot avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Twitch.
Twitch is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Twitch is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Knot on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Twitch is nestled in close to Knot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Knot is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Twitch is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Gordon Knot will probably get the nod.

Strychnine Twitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Twitch shoots in for a takedown but Knot shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Twitch postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Knot is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Twitch, into his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Knot wants to control from the top but Twitch keeps moving.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Twitch wants to break the clinch but can't.
Knot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Twitch takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Knot tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Twitch paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Knot lands a left and a right that send Twitch crashing to the mat, dazed. Knot thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Twitch is rocked!
It looks like Strychnine Twitch has been cut.
Gordon Knot is winning the standup battle so far.

Twitch swats away the attempt to clinch by Knot.
Twitch is still on wobbly legs! Can Knot finish him?
Twitch gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
