Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Egor Russian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jakub Witczak! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russian is looking to clinch. Witczak tries to clinch but Russian moves out of range. Russian swats away the attempt to clinch by Witczak. Witczak circles away from the clinch attempt.
Russian checks a leg kick nicely. Witczak tries to clinch but Russian is having none of it. A good leg kick by Witczak. Russian doesn't manage to clinch there - Witczak circles away.
Witczak shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Russian napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ground and pound from Witczak seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Russian is not content to let Witczak control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Witczak scoring with punches from side control. Russian parries the strikes from Witczak easily there. Witczak is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Russian to escape.
Witczak trying to control the action but Russian is working from the bottom. Russian on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Russian tries to get out of the position. Witczak slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Russian is not content to let Witczak control the position. Witczak taking a breather here.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jakub Witczak wasn't active enough on the ground. Witczak throws a series of strikes that have Russian backpedaling.
It looks like Egor Russian has been cut. Russian is breathing heavily. Witczak dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Russian. That did some damage!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Russian stuffs the takedown attempt from Witczak. Witczak gets slowly back to his feet. Russian avoids the head kick by Witczak.
Russian tries to clinch and Witczak counters with a nice low kick that buckles Russian's knee momentarily. Russian avoids the head kick by Witczak.
Russian is looking to clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Witczak. Russian dodges the punch combination from Witczak.
Witczak fails with a takedown attempt. Egor Russian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jakub Witczak. Witczak fails to land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Witczak darts in and clinches Russian up against the cage. Russian taking a breather. Russian breaks the clinch.
Witczak fails with a takedown attempt. Witczak throws a sloppy head kick and Russian moves out of range easily. Witczak shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Russian eats them both and turns towards Witczak to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Russian is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Egor Russian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Russian tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Witczak manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Russian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Witczak swats him away and circles back towards the center. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jakub Witczak dominated that round. The cut man is working on Egor Russian's cut. That's time! Russian's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Russian fails in his attempt to clinch. Witczak fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Witczak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Russian blocks a low kick nicely. Russian fails in his attempt to clinch. Russian tries to clinch but Witczak moves out of range. Russian has closed the distance and engaged Witczak in a clinch.
Witczak tries to land knees in the clinch but Russian avoids the damage to the body. Russian will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Witczak up against the cage. Russian manages to break the clinch.
Witczak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Russian pinned against the cage. Russian gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Witczak throws a head kick that misses and Russian counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Witczak is breathing heavily.

Witczak tries to break the clinch but Russian is controlling the position. Russian is defending well against a takedown attempt. Egor Russian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jakub Witczak. Witczak manages to break the clinch.

Witczak throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Witczak throws a head kick that misses and Russian counters by moving into the clinch. Russian manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Russian breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Witczak keeps the fight on the outside. Russian tries to clinch but Witczak moves away and Witczak makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Jakub Witczak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Witczak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Russian wants to get back to his feet. Russian avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Witczak. Witczak prevents Russian from standing back up.
Witczak missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Witczak is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Russian is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jakub Witczak! Jakub Witczak really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that SPARTA FIGHTWARE-GTI logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
