Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DAngelo Damsbury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Broyles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott Broyles is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DAngelo Damsbury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Broyles!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Broyles closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Damsbury did well to prevent Broyles getting side control.
Damsbury looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Damsbury has Broyles up against the cage in a clinch.

Broyles tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Broyles has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Broyles jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Damsbury manages to avoid the submission attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Broyles is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Damsbury is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Broyles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Broyles gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Broyles pulls Damsbury in to control the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Broyles has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Damsbury off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
DAngelo Damsbury seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Broyles looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Damsbury!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Damsbury's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Scott Broyles has got the better of the ground game so far.

Broyles is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Damsbury to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Damsbury shrugs it off.

Broyles is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Damsbury is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Damsbury flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Broyles anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Damsbury and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Broyles slips an arm under Damsbury chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Broyles has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Broyles is squeezing on Damsbury like an anaconda would it's prey. Damsbury fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Scott Broyles!
Scott Broyles looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'glad to get my first win!! i expected a little tougher fight, but will take the W any way i can get it '.
