Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Kobajashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Schilling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenta Kobajashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ben Schilling! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schilling misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice combination there by Schilling.
It looks like Kenta Kobajashi has been cut. Kobajashi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Kobajashi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Schilling defending against the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kobajashi is looking to take a break and control but Schilling is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kobajashi tries to advance position but instead Schilling slips a leg back in to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kobajashi slows the pace down in half guard. Kobajashi seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Schilling has recovered full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Schilling keeping full guard, as Kobajashi tries to pass. Schilling avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kobajashi tries to free his leg and advance position but Schilling is retaining full guard. Kobajashi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Schilling wants to stand and escape but Kobajashi is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kenta Kobajashi wasn't doing enough on the ground. Kobajashi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Schilling defends it nicely. Horrible takedown by Kobajashi or perhaps it was just good defense by Schilling which made him look bad. Kobajashi feints and as Schilling raises his hands in defense, Kobajashi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kobajashi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schilling on the ground. Kobajashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schilling swivels though and keeps the full guard. Schilling pushes Kobajashi off and scrambles back to his feet.
Kobajashi is breathing heavily. Kobajashi fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenta Kobajashi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schilling throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Schilling stuffs the takedown attempt from Kobajashi. Kobajashi gets slowly back to his feet. Kobajashi on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A head kick misses from Schilling. Kobajashi shoots in and drives through. Schilling sprawls well. Schilling connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. This has been an exciting period of action! Kobajashi avoids the head kick by Schilling.
Schilling stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kobajashi fails with a takedown attempt. Schilling has closed the distance and engaged Kobajashi in a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kobajashi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Schilling tries to break free but Kobajashi pushes him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ben Schilling will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kenta Kobajashi's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Schilling avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kobajashi blocks a head kick by Schilling.
No joy there for Schilling, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Schilling misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kobajashi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Schilling is not content to let Kobajashi control the position. Kobajashi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Schilling sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Schilling is breathing heavily. Kobajashi has knee on belly and moves into mount. Kobajashi could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kobajashi jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Schilling is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Schilling and Kobajashi has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Schilling prevents Kobajashi from improving position. Kobajashi trying to control the action but Schilling is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schilling tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Kobajashi misses with an elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kobajashi tightening his grip on Schilling, looking for the choke. Kobajashi wants to control but Schilling manages to buck him off and is now in Kobajashi's guard! Nice work there by Schilling! Kobajashi looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kobajashi looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kobajashi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kenta Kobajashi wasn't doing enough on the ground. Kobajashi misses with a few strikes there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kobajashi is defended easily by Schilling. Kobajashi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schilling tries to avoid it but Kobajashi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schilling to the ground. Schilling escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenta Kobajashi dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Kenta Kobajashi's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Kobajashi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kobajashi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kobajashi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Schilling to the mat! Schilling manages to get full guard. Kobajashi trying to control but Schilling is working from the bottom. Kobajashi looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kenta Kobajashi has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A jab from Schilling does it's job there. Kobajashi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A head kick by Schilling - that's a beauty! Kobajashi is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Schilling can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
