Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jens Pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Proctor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Proctor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. A-YO kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jens Pulver has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jens Pulver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikey Proctor! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pulver fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pulver throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Proctor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Proctor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pulver fails to land with a series of punches.

Pulver throws a head kick but Proctor moves out of range.
Jens Pulver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A combination from Pulver does no damage. Pulver tries to close the distance and clinch but Proctor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pulver misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pulver is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Proctor. Pulver tries to clinch up. No joy there for Pulver, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jens Pulver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pulver is breathing heavily. Proctor takes one to the side of the head.

Pulver is pressed up against the cage. Proctor has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pulver down to the mat. Pulver avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Proctor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Proctor wants to pass the guard but Pulver is keeping the position. Pulver wants to stand up but Proctor is controlling him. Proctor looking to pass the guard. Proctor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Proctor looking to pass the guard. Proctor passes Pulver's left leg - he's now in half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Proctor is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Pulver has managed to free his arm - good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikey Proctor dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Proctor fails with the takedown. Pulver throws a combination that misses and Proctor counters by moving into the clinch. Pulver connects with a nasty looking knee right to Proctor's face.
Pulver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pulver keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Proctor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pulver swivels and escapes. Jens Pulver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikey Proctor. Pulver has Proctor up against the cage in a clinch.

Pulver with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Pulver throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Proctor blocks it with crossed arms. Proctor tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pulver smiles and moves away.
Pulver looks to land a combination but Proctor avoids it well. Pulver is looking to clinch but Proctor is avoiding it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pulver misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Proctor moves away from the strike by Pulver. Pulver tries to clinch up but Proctor circles away and keeps his distance. Proctor takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A nice combination there by Pulver.
Pulver tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pulver wants to clinch up but Proctor keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Excellent takedown into side control there by Proctor. Proctor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pulver keeps working. Proctor might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pulver kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Sloppy strikes there by Proctor.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Proctor fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Proctor in side control, just content to control the action for now. Proctor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pulver keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Proctor working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Proctor misses with an attempted head punch from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jens Pulver will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Proctor shoots in and bounces Pulver off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Proctor tries to free his leg and advance position but Pulver is retaining full guard. Pulver preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Proctor working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pulver's head. Proctor is looking to work some ground and pound but Pulver has wrist control. Proctor trying to control the position from guard on top but Pulver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Proctor postures up in Pulver's guard and throws a big left but Pulver blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pulver scores with a jab to the jaw. Pulver misses with the combination.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pulver using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Proctor has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Pulver is looking to break free of the clinch but Proctor has double underhooks. Pulver looks to throw an elbow but misses. Proctor drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pulver gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Pulver lands a right hand that snaps the head of Proctor backwards. Proctor looking for a takedown. Jens Pulver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikey Proctor. Pulver looking to throw knees to the head but Proctor is blocking nicely.
Proctor lands a takedown into guard.
Proctor looking to pass the guard. Proctor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pulver works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Proctor wants to control from the top but Pulver keeps moving. Proctor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pulver swivels though and keeps the full guard. Proctor is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Proctor drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pulver dives on top into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Mikey Proctor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Proctor has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
