Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowen on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Makebono Bowen has been cut.
Bowen wants to clinch up but Velasquez keeps it at a distance.
Sloppy strikes from Velasquez. Those never looked like landing.
Velasquez misses with a few strikes there.
Velasquez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Velasquez looks for the body kick but Bowen saw that one coming.
Velasquez throws a series of strikes that have Bowen backpedaling.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Velasquez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bowen moves to clinch but Velasquez breaks away
and Velasquez counters with a left and a right that hurts Bowen! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Velasquez jumps into full mount!
Bowen is rocked!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
A big strike lands for Velasquez! That's really hurt Bowen and he's turned his back - Velasquez keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Velasquez jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Velasquez!
