Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Zat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Zat might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Open your eyes by Alter Bridge. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Zat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Johnson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Zat.
Zat moves into the clinch successfully.
Zat tries to score a body lock takedown but Johnson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Zat has him pressed against the cage. Zat has Johnson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Johnson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Zat is defending well. Zat is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zat down to the mat. Zat avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gabriel Zat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Johnson. Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Zat which made him look bad. Zat shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense. Johnson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Johnson looks gassed! Good exchange - Zat coming out on top. Zat connects with a body shot that sends Johnson's belly button to the back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Zat. Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zat sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zat scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Zat fails to land with a series of punches.
Zat misses with a series of wild punches.
Zat thuds his right hand into Johnson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Zat lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Zat. Zat scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Zat wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position. Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Zat is working Johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Zat postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Zat with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zat is stalling in the full guard. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Zat from controlling successfully. Zat missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Zat is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control. Johnson being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Gabriel Zat just wasn't active enough. Zat tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes. Zat's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Zat duly obliges. Johnson shoots in but no luck this time. Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zat sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Zat as he connects with a hook. Nice combo by Zat! Oh, that's hurt him - Johnson falls to the canvas and Zat follows him into side control.
Johnson is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big shot lands for Zat! That's hurt Johnson! Will he recover? Zat fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gabriel Zat!
