Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyo Wuan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lyo Wuan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lyo Wuan! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wuan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Koscheck's sensitive parts. Koscheck misses with a few strikes there.

Good shot there by Wuan. Koscheck tries to clinch up but Wuan circles away and keeps his distance. Wuan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Wuan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Koscheck eats them both and turns towards Wuan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. This has been an exciting period of action! Koscheck steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wuan. Koscheck gets a double leg takedown into Wuan's guard. Wuan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wuan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wuan wants to get back to his feet but Koscheck is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Wuan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Koscheck wants to stand but Wuan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Koscheck looking to pass the guard. Koscheck has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wuan wants to stand but Koscheck is controlling the position.

Koscheck gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Wuan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wuan wants it to stay on the feet. Lyo Wuan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koscheck fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wuan manages to avoid it. Wuan cracks Koscheck with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Wuan with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
This has been an exciting period of action! Wuan lunges at Koscheck with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Koscheck's hand. Decent striking displayed by Wuan there. A nice combination there by Wuan.

Wuan throws a front kick that sends Koscheck stumbling back into the cage. Wuan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Wuan lands a lovely overhand right. Wuan drops Koscheck with a beautiful combination! Koscheck stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Wuan is looking for the KO!
Koscheck is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wuan closes the distance and lands a one-two. Oh Koscheck is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wuan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Koscheck looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Koscheck seems to have got his legs back now. Oooooh!!! Wuan has knocked Koscheck down with a huge combo! Wuan steps away and waves a wobbly Koscheck back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Oooooh!!! Wuan has knocked Koscheck down with a huge combo! Wuan dives in looking to finish as Koscheck flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Wuan's strikes! Wuan is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Koscheck's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Koscheck was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
