Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frankin Bruisevelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Actavio Zapata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankin Bruisevelt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Actavio Zapata! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruisevelt lands a jab to the head.
Bruisevelt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Bruisevelt misses with the combination.
Bruisevelt swinging wildly here.
Bruisevelt's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bruisevelt duly obliges. Bruisevelt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Zapata manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bruisevelt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick from Bruisevelt lands but Zapata takes it in his stride. Bruisevelt pushes Zapata up against the cage in a clinch. Bruisevelt misses with an elbow over the top. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zapata prevents Bruisevelt from breaking the clinch. Zapata avoids a wild elbow strike from Bruisevelt. Bruisevelt lands a nice knee to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bruisevelt is defending well against a takedown attempt. Bruisevelt with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Zapata has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bruisevelt after a bit of a struggle. Bruisevelt lands a body shot in the clinch.
Bruisevelt looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bruisevelt lands an elbow inside that Zapata shrugs off. Zapata changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bruisevelt fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Frankin Bruisevelt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Actavio Zapata. Bruisevelt throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zapata counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bruisevelt won't be happy with that. Bruisevelt wants to get back to his feet but Zapata drags him back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bruisevelt avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Zapata. Bruisevelt manages to get back to half guard. Zapata lands strikes from half guard. Bruisevelt trying to control here.
Zapata is looking to take a break and control but Bruisevelt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bruisevelt makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Nice shot lands for Bruisevelt. Frankin Bruisevelt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bruisevelt misses with a two punch combination.
Bruisevelt is breathing heavily. Zapata uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bruisevelt has time to react. Bruisevelt throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bruisevelt lands a front kick. Zapata shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bruisevelt napping and manages to drive through into side control! Zapata wants to control but Bruisevelt is keeping him busy. Bruisevelt is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Zapata's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bruisevelt looks like he's trying to stand up.
Zapata landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zapata throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Zapata is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bruisevelt is just riding it out for now. Zapata eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankin Bruisevelt dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

Bruisevelt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zapata momentarily.
Zapata is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bruisevelt. Bruisevelt connects with a high kick. Bruisevelt walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Zapata checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Zapata looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bruisevelt looking for a sweep. Not yet Bruisevelt, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zapata content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Bruisevelt wants to stand up but Zapata is controlling him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bruisevelt being controlled here, momentarily. Actavio Zapata has got the better of the ground game so far.

Actavio Zapata has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Bruisevelt throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Zapata's head. Zapata misses with a few strikes there.

Frankin Bruisevelt is winning the standup battle so far. Excellent takedown into side control there by Zapata. An elbow from Zapata crashes against the mat.
Zapata happy to just control the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zapata grinds an elbow into Bruisevelt's temple. Zapata landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Zapata controls the position. Bruisevelt is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Bruisevelt tries to kick Zapata off but Zapata keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zapata thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bruisevelt pushes Zapata off but Zapata dives into side control.
Zapata scores with punches from side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Bruisevelt is trying to control Zapata's posture but Zapata avoids it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zapata controlling from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Actavio Zapata will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Bruisevelt gets caught flat footed, as Zapata shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bruisevelt manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Zapata takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Frankin Bruisevelt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zapata takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Bruisevelt clinches up against the cage. Bruisevelt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bruisevelt throws a series of punches but Zapata moves out of range. Zapata fails with the takedown. Zapata slips a jab and a cross from Bruisevelt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Zapata misses with a takedown attempt - Bruisevelt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bruisevelt throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Zapata's head. Bruisevelt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zapata moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Zapata throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zapata tries to keep at a distance but Bruisevelt has taken the fight into the clinch. Zapata is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bruisevelt pulls him back up using the underhooks. Frankin Bruisevelt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Actavio Zapata. Bruisevelt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bruisevelt misses with the combination.
Zapata shoots in but Bruisevelt avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bruisevelt tries to clinch but Zapata is having none of it. Bruisevelt throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Zapata darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bruisevelt is looking to get back to is feet but Zapata passes into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zapata is looking to take a break and control but Bruisevelt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bruisevelt is trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zapata working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bruisevelt wants to control but Zapata postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Frankin Bruisevelt showed his dominance in that final round. I think Bruisevelt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
