Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

12 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Akihito Tatsuhiko! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatsuhiko just misses with a punch to the body.
A jab from Tatsuhiko finds it's way through Cozad's defenses. Cozad defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tatsuhiko. Tatsuhiko gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cozad to score an easy takedown into full guard. Cozad wants to control from the top but Tatsuhiko keeps moving. Tatsuhiko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cozad trying to control but Tatsuhiko is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cozad postures up in Tatsuhiko's guard and throws a big left but Tatsuhiko blocks it. Cozad gets to his feet - Tatsuhiko follows without any prompting.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tatsuhiko takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Cozad pulls Tatsuhiko into guard.
Cozad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cozad is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tatsuhiko is aware though and is defending well. Cozad is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tatsuhiko defends well. Cozad is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Tatsuhiko prevents Cozad from escaping the position. Cozad might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cozad is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tatsuhiko off and has taken his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Connor Cozad really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Bloodsport Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
