Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyka comes to the cage accompanied by Remember the Name- Fort Minor. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yuri Boyka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mirko Filipovic! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Filipovic fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boyka shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Filipovic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Boyka stops Filipovic from standing up. Filipovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boyka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Filipovic keeping moving, preventing Boyka from controlling successfully. Filipovic keeping full guard, as Boyka tries to pass. Boyka trying to control the position from guard on top but Filipovic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Filipovic has his foot on Boyka's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boyka works his way back into a safe position though. Boyka trying to control but Filipovic is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Yuri Boyka. Filipovic circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Filipovic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boyka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Filipovic circles away from the clinch attempt.
Boyka moves into range and clinches up with Filipovic. Boyka breaks from the clinch.
Filipovic scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Filipovic trying to pass the guard but Boyka defending well. Boyka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Filipovic pulls his head out easily. Filipovic wants to stand up but Boyka has a hold of him and won't allow it. Filipovic wants to stand up but Boyka manages to regain full guard. Boyka pushes Filipovic off and gets back to his feet.
Boyka shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Filipovic manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boyka works over Filipovic with some ground and pound from guard. Filipovic should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Filipovic can't keep his opponent in guard - Boyka advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Filipovic on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Filipovic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boyka is working away from the top position though. Filipovic looks gassed! Filipovic is staying active underneath Boyka, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Filipovic trying to control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyka is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Filipovic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boyka. Filipovic is trying to stand.
Boyka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Filipovic keeps working. Boyka decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Yuri Boyka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boyka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boyka lunges at Filipovic with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Filipovic's hand. Boyka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Filipovic swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boyka shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boyka looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Filipovic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyka decides to stand and escape the position. Boyka doesn't manage to clinch there - Filipovic circles away.
Boyka fails in his attempt to clinch. Nice sprawl there from Filipovic as Boyka shoots in. Boyka tries to clinch up but Filipovic circles away and keeps his distance. Filipovic moves in looking to clinch but Boyka pushes him off. Boyka tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Filipovic counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Filipovic gets underhooks to prevent Boyka's takedown attempt.

Yuri Boyka dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Boyka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Filipovic's waist but Filipovic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boyka off to one side. Boyka wants to clinch. Boyka tries to clinch there but Filipovic circles away.
Filipovic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Boyka is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Yuri Boyka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boyka is working hard here to advance position. Filipovic throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Boyka tries to get back to half guard but can't. Filipovic goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Boyka turns into him and now he's in Filipovic's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Filipovic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Filipovic trying to keep a closed guard but Boyka is proving a slippery customer.
Filipovic can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boyka controls the pace. Boyka passes Filipovic's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Boyka looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Filipovic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Boyka scoring with strikes to the body and head. Filipovic is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Boyka lands a nice short elbow. Boyka is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Filipovic! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Boyka lands a nice shot to the head. Filipovic is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boyka working for a guillotine from mount but Filipovic is in no mood to give up. Boyka has isolated one of Filipovic's arms. Filipovic looking to fight him off but Boyka twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yuri Boyka! In his post fight interview, Yuri Boyka started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
