Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chico Escuela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richtor Schkayle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escuela comes to the cage accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan - Protect Ya Neck. Schkayle has chosen Fast Lane as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chico Escuela! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richtor Schkayle! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schkayle throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Escuela ducks under a wild hook from Schkayle. Schkayle misses with an uppercut
and Escuela counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Escuela. Escuela is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Schkayle gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Schkayle goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Escuela tries to score a body lock takedown but Schkayle shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Escuela drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chico Escuela. That's going to take a lot out of him. Schkayle stops a takedown attempt from Escuela.
Escuela is trying to trip Schkayle. He has hold of a leg but Schkayle is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Escuela persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Escuela throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schkayle works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Escuela loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Escuela missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Schkayle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Escuela. Escuela is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Schkayle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Escuela. Schkayle holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Schkayle is trying to get back to full guard.

Escuela thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Schkayle's head. Escuela is looking for a kimura but Schkayle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Escuela to get the leverage. Escuela trying to mount his opponent but Schkayle defends it. Escuela is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Schkayle still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Schkayle has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Schkayle wants to stand but Escuela has his arm trapped. Escuela manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Schkayle to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Escuela might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Escuela working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Escuela throws a strike but Schkayle rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Escuela looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Escuela working a defensive guard but Schkayle passes into half guard.
Escuela is looking for a sweep. Schkayle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Escuela looking for submissions off his back. Escuela tries to get to full guard but Schkayle has control of the leg. Escuela has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Escuela wants to get back to full guard but Schkayle has passed into side control. Escuela is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Schkayle gets to mount! Escuela was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A low kick from Schkayle misses and Escuela counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Escuela moves to clinch but Schkayle breaks away and Schkayle counters with a body kick. Escuela scores a takedown into full mount! Escuela jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Schkayle is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Schkayle and Escuela has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Escuela swings around for an armbar but Schkayle sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Escuela's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Escuela working for a triangle but Schkayle defends it easily.
Schkayle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Escuela working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schkayle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schkayle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Schkayle is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Escuela working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schkayle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schkayle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Escuela looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Schkayle puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Escuela looking for submissions off his back. Schkayle decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Escuela lands a body shot.
Richtor Schkayle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schkayle thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Escuela if he has to take too many more of those.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Schkayle circles away from the clinch attempt.
Schkayle lands a front kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd cheers as Schkayle lands an impressive looking overhand right. Escuela doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Chico Escuela has been cut. The fight stays on the outside here - Schkayle looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Escuela keeps the fight on the outside. Escuela circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Escuela chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Schkayle can pounce on him.

Richtor Schkayle seems to be getting the better of the standup. Schkayle lands a jab. Escuela moves out of range of the body kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Schkayle turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Schkayle throws out a loose jab but Escuela uses good head movement to avoid it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. A bone on bone clash there as Schkayle blocks the leg kick.
Escuela stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Schkayle. Escuela needs to keep his hands up - Schkayle had a free shot at his head there. Schkayle throws an overhand right that lands on Escuela's shoulder, as Escuela tries to avoid the shot. Schkayle is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Escuela throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schkayle is looking to land body kicks. Escuela fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Escuela misses with a low kick. Escuela fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Schkayle checks it well. Schkayle takes a swing at Escuela's ribcage but misses. Escuela changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schkayle tries to avoid it but Escuela manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schkayle to the ground. Schkayle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Escuela on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Schkayle stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Schkayle tries a head kick but it misses.
Escuela looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Escuela fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schkayle avoids it really well and circles away. Schkayle looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Schkayle scores with a push kick. Escuela staying out of range there. Escuela will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Schkayle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schkayle fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Escuela on the side of the head. A nice leg kick lands there from Schkayle. Schkayle punishes Escuela's body with a nice straight punch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schkayle is looking to clinch but Escuela is avoiding it.

Schkayle works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Schkayle lands a big head kick that sends Escuela tumbling to the mat! Schkayle takes a step backwards and waves Escuela back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Schkayle has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Schkayle moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Schkayle lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Schkayle connects with a solid leg kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A nice inside leg kick there by Schkayle. That's going to slow Escuela down. Schkayle throws the kick towards the body but Escuela avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richtor Schkayle really dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chico Escuela's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Schkayle tests Escuela's chin there with a solid looking shot. Schkayle tries to clinch but Escuela moves out of range. Escuela moves out of range of the body kick. A momentary lapse in concentration from Schkayle enables Escuela to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Schkayle manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Schkayle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Schkayle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Escuela does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Escuela is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Schkayle wants to pass the guard but Escuela is keeping the position. Escuela has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schkayle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Schkayle decides to stand up, so the ref orders Escuela to his feet. Escuela shoots in but no luck this time.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schkayle lands a big head kick that sends Escuela tumbling to the mat! Schkayle takes a step backwards and waves Escuela back to his feet - he wants the finish! Schkayle throws a leg kick which misses Escuela's front leg but catches the back leg as Escuela tries to avoid it. Escuela takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Schkayle tries a head kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Schkayle tries to clinch up. Schkayle has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Schkayle attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Escuela is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Schkayle throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Escuela counters with a right hand to the body. Escuela shoots in for a takedown but Schkayle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Escuela misses with a kick to the body and Schkayle counters with a nice uppercut. Escuela on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Schkayle. Schkayle obviously looking to wear him down.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

and Escuela counters with a one-two to the body. Schkayle gets tackled into the cage by Escuela. Escuela maintains the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Escuela is trying to pull guard but Schkayle has him pressed against the cage. Schkayle lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Schkayle is looking to break free of the clinch but Escuela has double underhooks. Schkayle is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Escuela is defending well for now. Schkayle lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Escuela or not. Escuela blocks a body shot from Schkayle. Escuela jumps guard but Schkayle stands there with Escuela around his waist. Escuela gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Schkayle tries to get back to half guard but can't. Escuela swings around for an armbar but Schkayle sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Escuela's guard. Chico Escuela has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Escuela wants to sweep here but Schkayle controlling him for the moment. Escuela throws his legs up looking for a submission but Schkayle uses it to pass to side control.

And that's the end of the fight! Richtor Schkayle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Schkayle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
