Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Bellator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mcneilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bellator comes to the cage accompanied by A Lesson Never Learned. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Bellator!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Mcneilly!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcneilly fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Bellator drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mcneilly wants to control but Bellator postures up.
Mcneilly tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bellator wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Mcneilly's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bellator is putting a hurting on Mcneilly here, landing some big shots from side control.


It looks like James Mcneilly has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bellator connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mcneilly some visible discomfort.


That has opened up James Mcneilly's cut even more.

The cut above James Mcneilly's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Mcneilly gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Mcneilly is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bellator pulls his head out easily.
Bellator looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mcneilly with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mcneilly has hold of Bellator's hands but Bellator slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Mcneilly looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Bellator wants to work for an arm triangle but Mcneilly is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mcneilly wants to improve his position but Bellator is controlling well.
Mcneilly wants to control but Bellator passes into side.
Bellator is chipping away with strikes.


James Mcneilly's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at James Mcneilly's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Frank Bellator!
