Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thompson Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Silva shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Oliveira eats them both and turns towards Silva to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Silva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Oliveira backs up against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oliveira's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Oliveira to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Oliveira drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!
Silva has an Americana. Oliveira didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Silva is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Silva hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Alexander Silva!
A relieved looking Alexander Silva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
