Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Wiggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Wiggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mirko Filipovic! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Filipovic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wiggins moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Filipovic scores with a head kick. Wiggins tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like John Wiggins has been cut. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wiggins is looking to take this one to the mat. Wiggins unloads a knee to the mid-section. Filipovic lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Filipovic wants to get back to striking at distance but Wiggins won't allow it.
Filipovic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Filipovic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wiggins, pushing him back against the cage. Wiggins tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Filipovic smiles and moves away.
Wiggins closes the distance and clinches up with Filipovic, looking for a takedown. Wiggins pushes Filipovic against the cage but Filipovic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Wiggins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wiggins looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Filipovic is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wiggins works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wiggins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Filipovic is just riding it out for now. Wiggins eventually gives up the hold. Filipovic is refusing to be controlled, as Wiggins sits in half guard. Filipovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wiggins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiggins in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Filipovic tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Wiggins!
