Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dylan James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Driver!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James closes the distance and clinches up with Driver, looking for a takedown. James pushes Driver against the cage but Driver circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Driver shoots in and gets a takedown into James's guard.
Driver wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
Driver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Driver is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but James has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Driver is looking to defend but James has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Driver! James pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Driver taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Dylan James!
Dylan James decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
