PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Nojudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck has chosen Nightwish: Walking in the air as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nojudo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Nojudo tries to keep at a distance but Neck has taken the fight into the clinch.
Nojudo is working for takedown but Neck is calmly controlling the position for now.

Neck gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nojudo regains guard.

Neck had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nojudo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Neck Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nojudo's back instead.
Nojudo wants to control his opponent's hands but Neck gets his hands free.

Neck is looking for the choke from the back position but Nojudo is controlling his hands well.
Neck doesn't have the hooks in and Nojudo manages to turn into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Neck is on top in guard.

Neck gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Neck closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nojudo to the mat! Nojudo manages to get full guard.

Neck turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Neck is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nojudo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Nojudo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Neck asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Nojudo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Neck is working away from the top position though.

Nojudo tries to bum rush Neck with a series of wild strikes but Neck uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well Neck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
