Roger's entrance music is Jedi Mind Tricks - On the Eve of War (Instrumental). A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roger lands with a kick to the ribs.
Nice uppercut there from Roger.

It looks like Danny Violator has been cut.
Violator moves out of range as Roger throws a body kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Violator crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Roger - the referee stops the clock and Violator gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Roger. Violator manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Violator wants to sweep here but Roger controlling him for the moment.

Violator shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Roger napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Roger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Violator defends it easily.

Violator got a little sloppy there for a moment and Roger has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Violator has managed to get both his arms back between Roger's legs - danger averted.
Roger lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Violator!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Roger cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Violator not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Roger bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Roger fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Violator is out of range.

Roger connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Roger lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That has opened up Danny Violator's cut even more.
Roger tries to land a front kick but Violator steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Violator bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Violator wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roger keeps working.
Roger regains full guard. Nicely done.
Violator wants to control from the top but Roger keeps moving.

Roger is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Violator defends well.
Violator stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Roger connects with a good right hand that stumbles Violator. Violator circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Roger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Violator drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Roger is trying to control Violator's posture but Violator avoids it.

Violator trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Roger is looking to improve his position but Violator isn't that keen on the idea.
Violator pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Roger wants to control but Violator is having none of it.
Roger sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Roger throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Violator looking to improve position, pressing down on Roger's thigh with his hand. Roger seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Violator paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Violator's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Roger picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
