Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Berry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dean comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Till I Collapse. John Berry will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berry misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dean closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Berry did well to prevent Dean getting side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Dean is pressing down on Berry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Berry is holding on for now.
Ground and pound from Dean.
Berry regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Dean.
Berry keeping moving, preventing Dean from controlling successfully.
Dean trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dean working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Dean distracts Berry with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dean wants to pass the guard but Berry is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dean works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Berry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dean looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Berry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dean keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Dean lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dean is controlling the pace.
Dean sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Berry defending well though.

Dean not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Dean throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Berry to regain full guard.

Dean cracks Berry with a solid left hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dean wants to control from the top but Berry keeps moving.

Berry is trying to stand back up but Dean is controlling him
Dean is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Berry working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dean.

Dean is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dean's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Dean landing some decent shots from guard.
Berry preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dean pushing down on Berry's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Dean has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dean seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Berry is trying to stand back up but Dean is controlling him

Dean is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dean avoids the attempt from Berry to control.

Dean lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Berry is rocked!
Dean loads up with a big shot that hurts Berry! He's pulled Dean in close but Dean has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Berry survive? More strikes from Dean and Berry is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
