Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beach Front (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beach Front acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Melvin Mendes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beach Front!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes darts in trying to clinch
and Front counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Mendes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Front.

Front feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Front working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Front missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Mendes keeping full guard, as Front tries to pass.
Mendes has momentary wrist control but Front slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mendes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Front.
Front is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Front is looking to work some ground and pound but Mendes has wrist control.
Front working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mendes's head.

Front throws a big elbow that misses.

Front throws a big right hand that misses.
Front chips away with some ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Front pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mendes is keeping the position for now.
Front throws a big right hand that misses.
Mendes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Front tries to free his leg and advance position but Mendes is retaining full guard.
Front loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Front trying to control the position from guard on top but Mendes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Front throwing strikes from guard but Mendes blocks nicely.

Mendes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Front scoring with punches to the head and body.
Mendes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Front is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Front trying to control but Mendes is working from the bottom.
Front stays in close to Mendes's body and controls the position.
Mendes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Front scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Front advances to half guard.
Front not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Front is nestled in close to Mendes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Front scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ground and pound from Front.
Mendes is breathing heavily.
Nice strikes from Front there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Front connects with a nice short shot to Mendes's temple.
Front throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ground and pound from Front.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Beach Front dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Mendes wants to clinch

and Front counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Front.

Beach Front has got the better of the ground game so far.
Front with a flurry of punches that miss.
Front trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Front slips nicely into half guard.
Front is nestled in close to Mendes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mendes keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Front is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mendes!
Front pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Front can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mendes is looking to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Front cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Front in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Front has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Front working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Front landing strikes from the mount and Mendes is in trouble!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Front! Mendes is hurt baaadly! Front is firing away with more strikes - Mendes is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Beach Front!
