Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Ryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Carlyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryder's entrance music is Megadeth Public Enemy No.1. A fine choice. Carlyle has chosen Vision of disorder- Element as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cesar Ryder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan Carlyle! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryder changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carlyle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ryder scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Carlyle to see if he's OK. Ryder wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carlyle, who protects the arm well. Ryder is putting a hurting on Carlyle here, landing some big shots from side control. Ryder creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ryder scoring with punches from side control. Carlyle takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Ryder is chipping away with strikes.
Ryder lands an elbow. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ryder in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Ryder in side control lands a decent elbow.
Carlyle is rocked! Ryder has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Ryder scores with a takedown into Carlyle's guard. Carlyle is still in real trouble! Can Ryder finish him? Carlyle looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlyle is looking to stand up but Ryder isn't so interested in that idea. Carlyle seems to have recovered his senses. Ryder advances position into side control! Ryder staying calm. Ryder decides to take the fight back to the feet. Ryder throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carlyle's waist but Carlyle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ryder off to one side. Carlyle wants to clinch and Ryder counters with a one-two to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryder is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Carlyle's half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Ryder seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Carlyle wants to sweep but Ryder has passed to side control! Carlyle on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Ryder is putting a hurting on Carlyle here, landing some big shots from side control. Ryder lands a few punches from side control. Ryder remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryder is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Carlyle looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ryder gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Carlyle is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ryder lets go of the hold and Carlyle can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Cesar Ryder! Cesar Ryder was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
