The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyberg shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nyberg gets slowly back to his feet.
Nyberg swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nyberg is proving hard to escape from.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nyberg enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nyberg manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Nyberg pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Jones shoots in for a double leg but Nyberg sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jones shoots in and drives through. Nyberg sprawls well.
Nyberg fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nyberg pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jones back to the cage. Nyberg follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Nyberg which made him look bad.

Nyberg shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nyberg stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Jones stands up and waves to Nyberg to follow him.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nyberg swivels and escapes.

Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Nisse Nyberg seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nyberg tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones drives through and clinches with Nyberg against the cage.
Nyberg is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Nyberg wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Jones drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nyberg pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nyberg as he avoids it easily.

Nyberg goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rashad Jones will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones stands up and beckons Nyberg to his feet.

Rashad Jones showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
