Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waleed Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Broyles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malik comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Be Touched. Scott Broyles has the eye of the tiger tonight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broyles blocks a head kick by Malik.
Malik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Broyles scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Malik wants to get back to his feet but Broyles is dominant here and he's now got Malik's back!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Broyles seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Malik's chin but Malik turns very nicely into Broyles's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Malik.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Broyles looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Malik stands up and waves to Broyles to follow him.
Broyles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Malik tries to avoid it but Broyles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Malik to the ground. Malik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Broyles doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Malik counters with a body kick.
Malik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Malik lands a left and a right that send Broyles crashing to the mat, dazed. Malik thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Scott Broyles has been cut.

Malik tries a head kick but it misses.
Malik pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Broyles takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Malik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Broyles takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Broyles on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Waleed Malik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malik misses with a head kick.

Malik lands a big head kick that sends Broyles tumbling to the mat! Malik takes a step backwards and waves Broyles back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Broyles is rocked!
Malik feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Broyles collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

Waleed Malik spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
