The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salminen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Beamer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Beamer looks to score with a jab to the body but Salminen is just out of range.
Beamer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Beamer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Salminen at a distance.
Beamer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Jim Beamer will probably get the nod.

Beamer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Salminen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
