Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Martyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Stubb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martyn comes into the arena with Live For The Moment blaring out of the sound system. Stubb has chosen Paper Scratcher as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Martyn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Stubb!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martyn tries to clinch up.
Stubb fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martyn avoids it really well and circles away.
Thomas Martyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stubb shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stubb was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Stubb jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Martyn is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Martyn and Stubb has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

A looping hook to the body misses from Martyn. Stubb does a little dance to reset his feet.

Martyn struggles to land a body shot inside as Stubb controls his hands.

Martyn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stubb fails with the takedown

Stubb takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Stubb has his foot on Martyn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Martyn works his way back into a safe position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stubb escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martyn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Martyn is stalling in the full guard.
Martyn is working Stubb over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Martyn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stubb has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Martyn has managed to get both his arms back between Stubb's legs - danger averted.

Martyn cracks Stubb with a solid left hand.
Martyn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stubb on the ground.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Martyn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Martyn. Stubb shrugs it off though.

Martyn shoots in and bounces Stubb off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

A left and a right from Martyn both land. Nice combination.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Martyn scores with a one two! Stubb had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


Stubb is rocked!


It looks like Michael Stubb has been cut.
Stubb wants to stay close but Martyn steps back to make room for something. Stubb seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Martyn and Stubb drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Thomas Martyn!
